Andi Anderson, LMT [they/them]
Oregon License No. 17353

Specialties. Intuitive/Therapeutic Massage | CranioSacral Therapy | MyoFascial Release | Reiki & Energy Healing | Manual Lymphatic Drainage | Medical Massage* | Aromatherapy | Trigger Point Therapy

Experience. Andi graduated from Everest Institute in 2010 with a focus on Spa Treatments and Sports Massage. They have been an Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist since 2010.

More About Andi. Passionate about embodiment, somatic healing, and breath, they focus every treatment by communicating with the Inner Wisdom (Innate Genius) that is in each person. This creates space for the client to guide the session, verbally or energetically. Our bodies (she/they/he+) are individuals, a culmination of life experiences, and always on our side. It is our birthright to feel at home in them.

Every person responds differently to massage treatments; one style or technique or modality may not be enough to alter somebody's structure for the better. And even within one individual, their response may vary from session to session. This is why Andi uses a variety of techniques to create an intuitive, therapeutic, and individualized treatment. If we are mindful of our past and strive to be present now, we can begin creating space for our future.

As a queer, trans masc/non-binary individual, Andi understands the importance of safety and inclusion on a personal level. They are passionate about creating a safe, healing environment for everyone.

Haley strives to support all bodies and minds by listening first and trusting a client's own perspective and intuition about their well-being. Her belief is that strengthening the mind/body connection through physical touch can begin to aid a spectrum of conditions from the most basic aches and pains to complex trauma. Joey Cantrell, LMT [he/him]
Oregon License No. 27302

Specialties. Deep Tissue| Swedish Massage | Hot and Cold [Stone] Therapy | Trigger Point Therapy | Sports Massage | Medical Massage*

Experience. We are happy to announce that Joey received his license from the Oregon State Board of Massage Therapists in September 2022! Joey received his education from Carrington College.

More About Joey. After dozens of knee dislocations, surgeries, and rehab, dealing with muscle pain has been a part of Joey’s life since he was 16. The greatest part of that experience for him was discovering the many benefits that massage therapy brought to my quality of life. “I feel massage drastically increased my recovery time. And made the earlier stages of rebuilding muscle that was lost a lot less unpleasant,” he says. This is something that has stuck with him ever since and he is excited for the opportunity to help others with a better life too.

He enjoys going to the beach, kayaking, and enjoying the great outdoors that Oregon and the PNW have to offer. One of his life goals is to see as many countries as possible.

Policies & Procedures

We intend to provide our clients with professional and therapeutic services. The following policies and procedures serve as a guide for first-time and repeating clients of A Better Way Massage.

We strongly believe that your time is valuable, as is ours. We make every attempt to be ready for your appointment at the scheduled time. In our commitment to providing a unique and outstanding massage experience and in consideration of our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies.

Cancellation, No-Show Policy

Please provide at least 24-hour notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment. If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours, or fails to show up for a scheduled appointment, a $50 fee will be incurred, regardless of appointment type or length. You will be responsible for payment of the fee prior to any future appointments. If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours multiple times (2 or more), they may be asked to pre-pay for future services.

Safe & Inclusive Environment

Acknowledging every person and their experience is tremendously important to the health and wellbeing of our species. We aim to embody this in our practice. A safe and inclusive environment is one where you feel respected, valued, and supported regardless of your background, identity, or ability. There is no place for racism, sexism, homophobia, bigotry, fatphobia, shaming, judging or assuming in health and well-being. Please don’t bring it here.

Professional & Therapeutic Massage

At ABWM we provide healthful, professional services. It is our responsibility and desire to maintain a safe environment for everyone (employees and clients alike). If you are deemed to be acting in an unsafe manner, the following may be a result of your actions: ending a session/treatment early, transferring your care to a different therapist, terminating your access to the clinic, and/or contacting proper authorities. Unsafe behavior may include, but is not limited to: sexual advances, inappropriate conversation, aggressive or disrupting language or behavior, etc.

Arriving for Your Appointment

Please arrive for your appointment 10 minutes before the scheduled starting time. This allows you enough time to fill out the appropriate client form (new clients), intake/update conversations with your therapist, and prepare for the service. An early arrival can allow for a more relaxed experience. If late arrival is inevitable, your service may be shortened or rescheduled to keep the office on schedule; you will still be responsible for the entire price of the originally scheduled treatment.
