Our lobby is open, and you may check in at the front desk when you arrive for your appointment. Covid 19 Policies and Procedures

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, A Better Way Massage (further known as, “ABWM”, “business”, “we”, etc.) has updated policies and procedures. While this is an extensive list, it is not limited, and ABWM holds the right to update these policies and procedures as needed, without prior notification. These are implemented immediately and fully, until which time ABWM sees fit. 

Masks are optional. Please let your therapist know if you require the to wear a mask during your session. Therapists will mask when appropriate for their needs and for your. If you are high risk, have high risk in your household, are feeling under the weather without fever, or have been around others who have had minor symptoms, we encourage you to wear a mask for your and your therapists protection. If you have major symptoms or fever we ask that you reschedule your appointment.

Covid-19 Prescreen Questionaire. You will receive a confirmation email as well as a pre-screening form 24 hours prior to your appointment. Once your appointment has been confirmed, the pre-screening questionnaire will be available. This form also includes updated consent to treat during a pandemic. Please have your pre-screening form completed before your appointment. If you cannot complete it online, our receptionist may ask for verbal confirmation, or your therapist may review it with you upon arrival.   

Sanitation and Cleanliness. There is a sanitation station in the lobby for clients to use upon entry and exit of the building. Each room and all surfaces, items, and furniture will be disinfected with FDA and EPA-approved disinfectants after each client. As in accordance with state law and as always, linens will be changed before each client. Per usual protocol and in accordance with state law, therapists will wash their hands before and after any contact with clients in accordance with CDC guidelines on handwashing. All staff will be wearing masks.

When to Stay Home (and Contact your Health Care Provider). If you have…

  • Any symptoms: fever (you must be fever-free without fever-reducing medications for 72 hours), cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, or other common symptoms of Covid-19 and other contagious diseases.

Patience and Understanding. We ask for your understanding in the event we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to exposure or illness of our staff. Times are difficult for all of us, and it is not lost on us that massage appointments can be very sacred and much-needed time to connect with your body. We will do our best to have you seen in a timely manner. We want to be a part of your health and wellness. aWe look forward to seeing you and making it a relaxing and enjoyable experience while maintaining safety.

Our policies are based on our governing authorities, OSHA, OHA, CDC, and WHO for healthcare facility guidelines.
